GLP-1 medications are a health topic where accuracy matters and misinformation causes harm. These are the standards every guide and blog post on GLPMate is held to.

## We never give dosing or medical advice

This is the line we do not cross. GLPMate is a tracking and education tool, not a clinician. Nothing we publish tells you what dose to take, when to change it, or what to do about a symptom. Those decisions belong with your prescriber and pharmacist, who know your history. Our content explains how these medicines are understood and what is worth tracking — and it points you back to your care team wherever a real decision is involved.

## What we cite, and what we won't claim

Every clinical statement is sourced to primary references, in this order of preference:

- **FDA prescribing information** (the drug labels) for dosing schedules, half-lives, titration intervals, missed-dose rules and documented adverse-event rates.
- **Peer-reviewed clinical trials** — the STEP (semaglutide) and SURMOUNT (tirzepatide) programs in _The New England Journal of Medicine_, PIONEER for oral semaglutide, and comparable registration studies.
- **Guidance from regulators and professional bodies** where a labeled answer doesn't exist.

We do **not** make outcome or weight-loss promises, and we never attribute a clinical result to using our app. Where we mention trial findings, we frame them as published data from a specific study population — not as a prediction for you. Every article lists its sources, and statistics are attributed inline to the source they came from.

## How often we refresh

Health content goes stale. We run a **90-day refresh cadence**: each guide and post is reviewed at least quarterly against the current FDA labels and literature, and the visible “Last updated” date on every page reflects the latest substantive review — it is not cosmetic. When a label changes or new evidence lands, we update the affected pages ahead of that schedule.

## Named clinical review is being added

We are in the process of bringing on a named clinical reviewer — a registered dietitian, pharmacist or physician — to review and sign our medical content. Until that byline is in place, we keep clinical depth deliberately measured, lean hard on primary sources, and surface this policy and a visible update date on every page. When a reviewer is signed, their credentials and review dates will appear on the articles they review.

## Corrections

If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, tell us at [support.eleutheromania@gmail.com](mailto:support.eleutheromania@gmail.com). We correct errors promptly and update the page's “Last updated” date when we do.
